Wonders Never Cease

Comanche Lodge would like to thank Kelly McDougall of Mahazin Arabians for giving us the opportunity to stand her very lovely chestnut stallion, Wonders Never Cease, this coming season. Wonders is a pure Crabbet Arabian by the Bakos son Volcano who is from the beautiful Baz daughter Victorine. Wonders’ dam is the Silver Fire line, Oxford Wonder, whose parents were both imported from Crabbet Park itself.

Wonders is a Champion at halter and saddle and has been shown in western pleasure, costume and dressage. He has sired champion progeny including some lovely Anglos and has sired palomino and buckskin foals.

We are looking forward to putting Wonders over our daughters of Silver Wind Van Nina and are pleased to be able to offer him at public stud.

Kellie tells us that he passes on his down to earth, easy going temperament to all his foals and is quite good on passing on colour.

He should be with us late October. He will stand at a fee of $880 to all mares plus agistment and vet fees. Please go to his page under Our Stallions to check out his pedigree and a few photos of his foals.

"......On the third day, we left our base in Toowoomba and headed west for Brisbane. First stop was Comanche Lodge owned by Janice and Bruce O’Connor. Janice had produced a wonderful catalogue for us all to use and the parade started with the leased mare, Saronett Dhehebi Zahra by Magic Myth out of Dancing Fay with an exquisite foal, Comanche Lodge Dream Dancer by Silver Wind van Nina who impressed us all.

Another Saronett mare, El Fakim Wahida also had a foal by Janice’s stallion. This mare is out of Indian Fair, an Indian King grand-daughter.

The mare Fenwick Sarina’s (Sindh x Salvina) pedigree is amazing in that after two generations you cite Silver Vanity, Silfina, Shalina so it was fascinating to see that her lovely daughter Comanche Lodge Rainbird by Silver Wind van Nina was so stunning.

Another amazing pedigree is that of Bundara Park Tria, now 26 years young by Bronzetone (Sindh x Badiyan) out of Ractria (Sharrak x Electria). This lovely mare looked well for her age.

The star of the stud, Silver Wind van Nina, had gone all the way to Victoria in 2000 for the Crabbet Convention in Melbourne. He is by Silver Conquest who we had hoped to see as he was a full brother to the outstanding Silver Somerio seen earlier on the trip. His dam, Ronina was by Grand Royal impressing on us again how quickly the Australian horses go back to the original Crabbet imports.

We were able to enjoy the remaining horses in the paddocks before moving on our busy schedule. ..."
